1. Sticker/Activity Books
This was a life saver on the plane and in the airport to keep my littles busy during the long waits. I found these books at Walmart for less than $3.
We went in July and (surprise) it was HOT. Having fun water bottles for the girls just made staying hydrated a little easier. I found a Minnie Mouse and Elsa bottle in the Target dollar spot.
3. Character Plushes
Even the small character dolls are at least $17 at Disneyland. I stopped at Walmart and picked up these cute Disney dolls for $5 each.
4. Minnie Mouse Ears
There are so many cute Minnie ears options at Disneyland but they are $24 a piece. I got some for me and my girls on Etsy from Cali and Me Boutique for $11 each and I think they were just as cute as any of the others.
5. Glow Sticks
I picked up glow sticks at the Target Dollar spot for a $1 and at Dollar Tree to wear for our nights at Disneyland and California Adventure. The kids were so excited to wear their glow sticks and it was easy to pick out our family in the huge crowds.
6. Princess Dresses
One of the most magical things about this trip was getting my girls princess dresses to wear to Disneyland. I found these cute soft princess dresses by Presley Couture on veryjane.com but when they aren't on there you can find them on their website HERE. My mom did add some lace to the bottom of the dresses to make them even cuter.
7. Disney Apparel
It is so expensive to buy shirts and sweatshirts at Disneyland so I saved us money by buying them before we left. I found the girls Minnie shirts at Target, my husband's Darth Vader shirt was from Amazon and I watched veryjane.com for Disney shirts and found a castle one that I loved for me. Old Navy and H&M also had cute Disney things that I considered.
8. Comfy Shoes
We hardly ever slow down when we are at Disneyland and usually by the end of the day my feet are killing me. This time my husband and I bought shoes off Amazon to wear. I got the pink ones HERE and he got these gray ones HERE. We were so comfortable that even after all that walking our feet didn't hurt at all! I love these shoes so much I think I need another pair!
9. Snacks
Food can be very expensive in the parks. We still splurged and had dinner in Disneyland but we saved money by bringing snacks for the kids to eat during the day. We had granola bars, gummy snacks, and Go Go Squeeze Applesauce. This might just save you a bit of sanity too when you're waiting in line.
It is so expensive to go to Disneyland but the memories we make there are worth everything to me. I never want to forget the smiles and wonder on my girls faces when they feel the magic in that special place. I hope you have a the most magical Disneyland vacation!
